Manson’s Odd Behavior Causes Mayhem At The Paramount Concert
Marilyn Manson fans were outraged after his Thursday night performance at The Paramount in Huntington was less than stellar and short. Most yelled out they wanted a refund.
Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, is on tour to promote his latest album, “Heaven Upside Down.” The Paramount show had originally been scheduled for Oct. 3, 2017, but was postponed after the artist broke his right leg on Sept. 30, 2017. The accident happened at the Hammerstein Ballroom when two oversized guns fell and hit him.
For his concert at The Paramount, he was wheeled onto the stage by men wearing scrubs. Although he got rid of the wheelchair, his cast stayed on. This hindered him in his ability to move around easily.
The 49-year-old performed three songs before things turned sour for the audience. Manson began berating the audience to show him some love if they were to get more songs from him.
West Babylon resident Claudio Alvarez thought Manson wanted some TLC, but this was not something he’d get from New York. He said Manson is a professional that has a job to do, but the outburst was a bit much for even Alvarez.
Trisha Bernardo of Levittown said she wanted a refund because the entire concert was more than disappointing.
It appears Manson’s action confused the band with multiple songs being started then stopped. Manson’s back was to the crowd most of the time, and he came across as indifferent. In one instance, he became aggravated and left the stage.
21-year-old Victoria Kaufmann said Manson was completely messed up and unable to perform.
After his exit, the crowd got mad and started screaming, throwing plastic cups and being hateful. Manson came back on stage and began mindlessly jamming on the guitar with the band – perhaps to anger the fans even more. An hour into the concert, he left the stage for good. This caused the crowd to start yelling they wanted a refund.
West Babylon resident Sean Walz said this wasn’t even a show. He said he grew up listening to Manson, but he was done with him.
