LaBeouf Goes To Nymphomanic Premiere With Bag On Head
Transformers star Shia LaBeouf is causing even more controversy for himself. To promote his latest film – an explicit erotic film – he arrived to the premiere wearing a paper bag on his head.
The movie Nyphomanic by Lars Von Trier opened at the Berlin Film Festival, and LaBeouf, who stars alongside Charlotte Gainsbourg, wore a black tuxedo and bow tie along with the paper bag with a message on it that said, “I am not famous anymore”.
Before LaBeouf went to the premiere, he was at a press conference where he answered just one question before he stormed off. A reporter asked him about the filming of explicit scenes and the actor quoted a former football player Eric Cantona, saying, “When the seagulls follow the trawler, it’s because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea.”
LaBeouf has been getting a lot of negative press lately. For instance, it was learned that his directional debut of HowardCantour.com was plagiarized by a Daniel Clowes’ graphic novel.
The movie outlines a woman’s erotic journey – Gainsbourg’s character – from a young age until 50 years old. It’s a two-part movie: part one is set to open March 21, part two will open April 18. It also stars Jamie Bell, Williem Dafoe, Connie Nielson, Stellan Skarsgard and Uma Thurman. The part one has already received positive reviews from Rottentomatoes, with the current rating standing at 100%.
