Cheap USB Stick Sized Mini Computers Running on Android 4.0

Chinese stores have begun selling a device on a USB stick format with Android 4.0. The system is similar to the Raspberry Pi and Cotton Candy devices and all you need to do is connect it to an external monitor.

According Cnxsoft the model is already available in various shops and is sold for about $74. This means that the device is relatively inexpensive, though the previously released Raspberry Pi with a price of $35 is much cheaper. Incidentally, we have heard that several manufacturers are planning to produce various Android PCs in USB stick format sometime in the near future. Previously, for example, the Cotton Candy device was launched. There are a few inexpensive models with Android 4.0 that is actually available in the Chinese market today.

The Android-stick features an HDMI port and needs to be connected to an external monitor. There is a full-size USB port and also a micro USB connection available. The processor is an All Winner A10, which is based on an outdated Cortex-A8 core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz.

Furthermore, there is 4 GB memory storage built in, while it as a 512 RAM. There is support for WiFi connection and the device can play video at 1080p resolution. It will be very interesting as to how these Android USB sticks will perform compared to various low end and middle end Android smartphones that are flooding the market now.
