4 Dead In Apparent Murder-Suicide Workplace Shooting

Four people – two men and two women – are dead in an apparent murder-suicide at a St. Louis business. According to police, the shooting happened after the four got into an argument.

Police have recovered a semiautomatic handgun from the scene.

The shooting took place around 1:45 CT along Cherokee Street, which is at the city’s southern end. Police Captain Michael Sack said the gunman was employed with a home health care business inside the Cherokee Place Business Incubator.

According to Sack, the gunman allegedly argued with all three murdered victims before he opened fire, killing them and himself. The victims’ ages ranged from early 40s to mid-50s.

There have been no details released regarding the argument’s topic and if the victims were actually employees or customers.

A lawyer who has an office in the business said Somalian immigrants own and staff the health care business and heated discussions were nothing new between them.

The Cherokee Place Business Incubator was previously a movie theater and currently houses up to 10 small businesses.

The Associated Press said the shooting took place in a location where many Hispanics have moved to in the last few years. The area has many shops includes kitsch stores and antique shops.
