Donald Trump Jr. Claims Father’s Run For Presidency A Step Down

Posted on October 22, 2016

Donald Trump Jr. said his father’s decision to run for U.S. president is a “step down” from its business career.

Trump Jr. said Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton has made her money through politics, peddling the American influence. He said his father didn’t, which is why it’s a step-down. He also said his dad wants to make sure that every American – no matter what their background and ethnicity – have the same chances he has in business.

Trump Jr. was a major player at the start of the campaign but took a step back from the limelight during the general election. In September, the presidential hopeful’s boy compared Syrian refugees to the candy Skittles, which caused some uproar. He had tweeted that if he had a bowl of Skittles and told people that three would kill them, would people take a handful. He then said that was the Syrian refugee issue.

Not long before that, he undermined his dad’s claim that he wasn’t withholding his taxes from the public because they are being audited by the IRS. Trump Jr. said his dad’s got a 12,000-page tax return that would ensure financial auditors from every part of the nation asking questions taking away from the main message his father is trying to convey.

The Republican hopeful said a departure from presidential politics would be a welcome return to his private life. He said he would go back to a good way of life. It’s not what he wants to do. Trump said he feels he’ll be victorious on Nov. 8.
