Blink 182 will join the long list of bands to play at Epicenter.

Blink 182 fans were hoping that Mark Hoppus’ big announcement would be a new song on Los Angeles KROQ’s radio station on June 21st. Instead, it was an announcement that Blink 182 would be playing Epicenter Festival on September 26, 2010.

Epicenter Fest is a large punk/pop/rock festival in Los Angeles that will be featuring such bands as Rise Against, 30 Seconds to Mars, Suicidal Tendencies, Bad Religion, A Day To Remember and Black Pacific. The event takes palace at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA.

The Saturday night lineup features some big name bands including Kiss, Eminem, Bush and Papa Roach.

As for Blink 182’s new song, the band is currently recording new music before they head on tour later this month. The new album is expected to be released later this year.
