A&E Reality Star Dead At 49

Roy Garber, a reality TV star regular on Shipping Wars, died Jan. 17, after suffering a heart attack. Garber was 49.

Garber was at home when he went into cardiac arrest. He was rushed to al local area hospital and pronounced dead shortly after his arrival. It’s been reported that Garber was suffering with repeated bouts of a heart condition before his heart attack.

Garber was a prominent character on the popular A&E network show Shipping Wars, a show that follows several lone shipping contractors who focus their attention mainly on the shipping of odd-shaped products. It first aired in 2012.

According to the A&E biography, Garber is a “serious jack of all trades”, loves to fish and is a master scuba diver.  A show representative said the cast is heartbroken by the sudden loss of its A&E family member.

Garber is survived by a son, Travis and his long-time girlfriend.
